Description

Not much change in this week’s weather. Today high-pressure ridge sits over Colorado and shift east over the Plains tomorrow. This means high’s the 100 with little to no reprieves from the heat, except for midweek where cool fronts move through as a low tracks along the Canadian border and flattens the ridge a bit and put’s the area in northwest flow for a day or two with temps in the mid to upper 90’s. This occurs on Wednesday and Thursday with better chances for isolated and scattered evening storms. Friday and through the weekend the ridge intensifies back over the region with the return of 100-degree heat, breezy south southwest winds, and low afternoon relative humidity and grass ad vegetation drying for fuel will elevate fire concerns.
