<p>Matthew 5:33-37</p> <p>Jesus isn&#39;t against oaths and vows; the Law and the Lord actually promoted making vows in the His name. But the people had created loopholes through this command to makes vows in the Lord&#39;s name and gave themselves the liberty to be deceptive. This is what Jesus was against.
