Transfer: Why I chose Arsenal – Jurrien Timber

<p>New Arsenal signing Jurrien Timber has opened up about his decision to join the Gunners.</p>, <p>Arsenal recently signed Timber from Ajax in a deal worth an initial £34.2 million.</p>, <p>But Mikel Arteta’s side were not the only club pursuing a move for the Dutch international, with Manchester United and Bayern Munich both heavily linked over the last 12 months.</p>, <p>Timber has now explained his decision to pick the north London club over others.</p>, <p>“To be honest, I had some options, but Arsenal was the only one I chose,” the 22-year-old told The Mirror.</p>, <p>“It is a beautiful club. Look at last year. Of course, the previous years were beautiful, but last year you saw a major step. The team grows, and I want to be a part of it.</p>, <p>“Sometimes it is just a feeling. The way they play, the way I talk with the trainer, I just had a good feeling with it.”</p>
