Transfer: Maja reveals reasons behind his West Brom move

<p>Nigeria forward, Josh Maja has revealed the reason behind his decision to join Sky Bet Championship club, West Bromwich Albion.</p>, <p>Maja moved to Hawthorns on a three-year deal on Tuesday.</p>, <p>The 24-year-old linked up with the Baggies on a free transfer after severing ties with Ligue 1 club, Girondis Bordeaux at the end of the 2022/23 season following the expiration of his contract</p>, <p>The striker had offers from several clubs around Europe but instead opted to join West Brom.</p>, <p>Maja has moved to defend his decision and claimed a short conversation with Albion boss Carlos Corberan convinced him to join the Spaniard’s squad.</p>, <p>“The conversation I had with Carlos Corberán was short. I’ve only spoken to him once, but that’s probably all I needed,” he told the club’s official website.</p>, <p>“I got really good energy from him.
