Transfer: Bassey joins Fulham on four-year contract

<p>Premier League club Fulham have confirmed the signing of Calvin Bassey from Ajax.</p>, <p>Fulham announced that the Nigeria international had joined them for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance.</p>, <p>The 23-year-old agreed a contract until the summer of 2027, with a club option to extend it by a further 12 months.</p>, <p>Bassey will wear the No. 3 shirt at his new club.</p>, <p>The defender said he was elated to join the London club and is looking forward to a successful spell at Craven Cottage.</p>, <p>“I know how big of a club Fulham is. They always have quality players; they’re playing in the Premier League, the best league in the world, so I didn’t have to think much about it,” he told the club’s official website.</p>, <p>“It’s a London club as well, so it’s always a plus to go home!
