Traditional Values (BDSM Style)

Costumes, ominous glares, intimidation, the smell of leather and an invisible hierarchy of pain givers and takers. Old school BDSM has slowly and (maybe not so) seamlessly transitioned into modern BDSM. <br/><br/>In the audio I talk about BDSM groups, communities and hierarchies. The benefits and drawbacks to this system of gatekeepers, accountability and accomplishment versus lone wolfing it through your kinky experiences, like I do. I talk about vestiges from the old school system like leather, latex, &#8220;Yes Mistress&#8221;, medieval torture equipment and how that relates (and doesn&#8217;t really relate) to plain and simple power exchange. <br/><br/>Are we playing a kinky game of telephone? Monkey see, monkey do? Optics and association? In my experience, when we take the time to strip BDSM down to its most basic form, we are left with an open world format that requires more time and energy to navigate - but - ultimately provides more freedom to the participants - IMHO!<br/><br/>Hope you liked this podcast!
