<p>The world has been rocked by the recent killing of George Floyd, a Black man who died while in police custody. Video footage showed arresting officer Derek Chauvin kneeling on the neck of a subdued Floyd for close to <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2020/05/31/us/george-floyd-investigation.html">nine minutes</a> while he lay handcuffed, helpless and at a certain point: non responsive. Three additional officers stood by in witness. </p><p>Outrage over Floyd's death has sparked world-wide protest for not only the officers to be charged but for accountability in departments and an end to police brutality. Daily peaceful protests have taken place in Minnesota, DC, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and as far as <a href="https://www.bbc.com/pidgin/tori-52900321">London</a> and New Zealand.</p><p><a href="https://www.instagram.com/tv/CA0Wwl5gEbI/?igshid=1s9g9rs48jejn">Jarrett</a> and Tre'vell give us their <a href="https://www.revolt.tv/2020/5/11/21254688/ahmaud-arbery-black-men-trauma">thoughts</a> on the current climate, the <a href="https://www.instagram.com/tv/CA7MCOvgPMh/?igshid=3lvfbbiuhymh">protests</a> as well as their feelings on the collective and individual <a href="https://www.runwithmaud.com/">trauma</a> Black people face in a White Supremacist culture. </p><p>We'll also talk to very special guest <a href="https://www.joydegruy.com/">Dr. Joy DeGruy</a>. She's a professor and author of the book <a href="https://www.joydegruy.com/post-traumatic-slave-syndrome"><i>Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome</i></a>.
