TikTok: Crack for users, crackdown for governments

Germany is the latest in a slew of governments to ban TikTok from officials' devices over security fears. But the highly addictive video scroller remains incredibly successful in Western countries, along with several other Chinese apps. It's more evidence that China has edged into top spot when it comes to innovation, as our Technology Editor Peter O'Brien explains.
