Twitter:@MaryamShetty_</span>, <h2>A ministerial hopeful, Maryam Shettima, popularly known as Maryam Shetty, has opened up on the withdrawal of her appointment by President Bola Tinubu.</h2>, <p>Shetty suffered a humiliating experience on Friday, August 4, 2023, when she learnt that her nomination had been withdrawn by the President after arriving at the National Assembly for screening.</p>, <p>Decked in a black flowing gown finished with a red-coloured headgear and accompanied by some associates, the former nominee stormed the assembly complex for what she thought was going to be her ministerial screening.</p>, <p>But, Shetty's hopes were dashed when news filtered in that Tinubu had replaced her with Mariya Mahmoud, who happened to be her former classmate.</p>, <p>She later left the parliament with disappointment written all over her face.</p>, <p>However, reacting to the incident, Shetty said the experience wouldn't stop her from believing in the country.</p>, <p>She also expressed gratitude to Tinunu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for honouring her with a nomination.</p>, <p>This was contained in a statement she issued on Saturday, August 5, 2023, where she also said her best is yet to come.</p>, <p>Shetty said, “I have found myself at the centre of a pivotal moment in Nigeria’s political landscape.
