Think You Know What Your Team Wants? Think Again!

<p>Have you ever fallen into the trap where you think you know what your team members want? And perhaps you've made assumptions based on your own experience and preferences. </p> <p>In other words, you've assumed you know what your team members like, dislike or want to achieve in their careers, because you think they are just like you! This is a cognitive bias known as the "False Consensus" effect. Basically, this means in our head, we tell ourselves that other people are just like us. </p> <p>Unfortunately, this can have a negative impact on the way we lead our teams.
