<p class="p1">Chris Major is director and co-founder of the award-winning Sydney practice Welsh + Major, with a portfolio that includes public spaces, homes, restaurants, bars, galleries, shops, workplaces, and the reinvention of historic buildings. The practice is concerned with the social and environmental repercussions of architecture and the ideas that drive our cities, while maintaining a focus on context, landscape, memory and material. Chris is an active AIA member, undertaking a range of roles including former co-chair of the Medium Practice forum, previous member of the National Committee for Gender Equity, chairing the residential awards jury and mentoring in the AIA program.
