Theophanies - The Manifest Present of God

<p>Air Date: 08 20 21</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>Abraham had been called by God, and God told him, “I am your shield; your reward shall be very great” (Gen. 15: 1). Abraham asked, “What will you give me, for I continue childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?” (Gen. 15: 2). Abraham was already one of the wealthiest men in the world, and all that he lacked was what seemed impossible for him to have: an heir from his own bloodline. God said, “‘ This man shall not be your heir; your very own son shall be your heir.’ And he brought him outside and said, ‘Look toward heaven, and number the stars, if you are able to number them.’ Then he said to him, ‘So shall your offspring be’” (Gen. 15: 4–5).
