The Word of God & Accuracy

It is easy to misinterpret the Scriptures. If we are not careful, we might share or teach an inaccurate interpretation of God's word. We might give a friend false assurance of salvation. We might miss the meaning of a certain passage completely. This happens when we do not consider the historical background and literary context of what we are reading. The Bible is a text out of time—if not handled correctly, a modern-day reader may easily extract a few verses and manipulate its meaning to suit his or her needs—whether he or she is aware or not. We are all in danger of mishandling God's word. Therefore, let us study and be careful in how we interpret the Bible.
