The Truth Will Set You Free

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">When negative thoughts get into your mind, those thoughts will result in negative actions. What you think WILL dictate what you will do. The key to overcoming is to take your thoughts captive.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Negative thoughts are a stronghold that are powerful and become entrenched into our mind. They become a false reality. They become entrenched and stuck in a rut. Think about it this way, when you are driving down a dirt road (yes I grew up in the country in Iowa, we had dirt roads) and the wheels of your car get stuck in a rut in the road caused by heaving rain, it’s hard to get the tires out of the rut. It takes patience, steady hands on the steering wheel and you have to slowly steer yourself out of the rut.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Mental ruts are the same. You have bought into a lie. You believe your situation is hopeless, you believe you are a victim of circumstance. You are what your thoughts say you are.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You are controlled by fear or shame, or guilt, or with the notion that nothing will ever change and so on. </span></p>
