Once again, America is in shock after a mass shooting, this time in a primary school in Texas that left at least 20 dead. The US president, Joe Biden, has vowed to act on gun laws, but no leader before him has managed to overcome the might of the nation's gun lobby. And now, with a radically conservative Supreme Court stacked with judges appointed by Donald Trump, the right to carry a gun could be expanded even further.
