The stress of living during the time of mass shootings

You can be at the wrong place at the wrong time, and there’s a gunman opening fire. But the victims did nothing wrong. They were at school, at the mall, at church. So how do we accept the fact that our society will allow these mass casualty events to happen again and again without a meaningful solution?
