Sheriff Gonzalez spoke candidly regarding several pressing issues facing our society today including the impacts of trauma, community and policing and the school to prison pipeline. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is the largest Sheriff Office in the State of Texas and the third-largest nationwide. Sheriff Gonzalez leads upwards of 5,000 employees to protect the County’s 4.5 million residents within the 1,700 square miles of Harris County.</p>
