The Queen and the Guerrilla War

<p class="p1">By the 1600s in the African kingdom of Ndongo, traditional power structures have been overturned by Portuguese slave merchants. The King, or Angola, is weak, forced to negotiate with the European colonizers, while ruthless warriors gain power from European allies. But a Queen emerges, and leads her people into a guerrilla war that will re-shape Africa for the next century.</p>
