<p>Māori men are dying younger than any other group of New Zealanders. </p> <p>Life expectancy for tāne Māori is 73 years of age compared to 80 years for non-Māori males and they struggle to access quality healthcare for treatable conditions such as gout through to diabetes. </p> <p>The Hui discusses the challenges and inequities Māori men face in the health system with panelists Dr Anthony Jordan - Immunologist, Boyd Paratene - Director of Health Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Whātua, Dr Jordan Te Whaiti-Smith - Medical Research Institute of NZ and Matt Tukaki - NZ Māori Council. </p> <p>Made with the support of Te Māngai Pāho and NZ On Air.</p>
