The House of Sleep

Sleep StoriesSeveral people who listen to my other podcast: The Classic Ghost Stories Podcast, said that my voice put them to sleep. At first, I was outraged, but then I realised they meant it in a nice way and why didn't I record stories specifically to make folk slumber? I thought I'd give it a try and so I sat down and wrote a series of twenty-five little whimsical pieces, the first of which is here. This is called The House of Sleep and involves entering a magical house that is designed only for sleeping. My brilliant idea was to read it three times—because it's only short—each time getting quieter until by the end I'm only whispering. I had some feedback to say: don't do that. But what do you think?
