<p><strong>SERMON OUTLINE (12/09/21)</strong></p> <p><strong>The Gospel of comfort P1: 1 John 2 1-2</strong></p> <p>1. <strong>The Introduction:</strong> Do we see the Bible as the Gospel of comfort?</p> <p>1.1 <strong>Big Idea:</strong> To comfort our hearts as I remind us of two comforting facts from 1 John 2: 1-2 to know that our Bible is the Gospel of comfort (1-2)</p> <p>2. The first comforting fact is: to know that Jesus is our Advocate (1)</p> <p>3. The second comforting fact is: to know that Jesus is our propitiation for our sins (2)</p> <p>4. <strong>Conclusion:</strong> the exhortation: Now that we have been reminded of these two comforting facts from 1 John 2 1-2 to know that our Bible is the Gospel of comfort – will you see it as the Gospel of comfort (1-2)</p> <p><strong>Reflection:</strong> Do you see the Bible as the Gospel of comfort? Do you find it comforting to know that Jesus is our Advocate? Do you find it comforting to know Jesus is our propitiation for our sins?
