The Gonzales Family Murders

In July 2001, the quiet Sydney suburb of North Ryde was rattled awake by a triple murder that seemed to have been the result of a robbery gone wrong. Little did they know that these murders were in the making for so long and could be traced back to Baguio, Philippines.<br /><br />For its first episode for Season 4, Lagim: A Filipino True Crime Story presents a story from the diaspora. It is a story of expectations, pressure, generational differences and existing as immigrant children in a culture that is very different to the one their parents grew up with in the Philippines.<br /><br />***<br />LAGIM is a proud media partner of the Benilde Theater Arts and Sining LABinsiyam who are presenting an amazing play at the De La Salle College of St Benilde's Design and Arts Campus.
