Opportunities to help those in need bring mixed feelings and a lot of questions. Doesn’t God help those who help themselves? Won’t I have less if give what I have away? Isn’t what I have for to be used for myself? Its easy to feel bad even thinking such things. While we are not meant to feel condemned, we also must realize there could be an invitation from the Spirit to live more simply and give more generously. The revelation that everything is God’s and we are stewards of His resources changes everything.
