Sunday 27th June  The Force of Joy 7 A well cultivated atmosphere triggers the free flow of joy and divine grace in our lives. However, it's worrisome that lots of people have not come to that place where they are strong enough to withstand the challenges of their environment.  According to the parable of the sower by Jesus, while the sower sow his seeds, some fell by the roadside and were picked up by birds. Some fell on rocky grounds, sprouted but were not well rooted so they withered away. Others fell among thorns and were choked as they grew.  The joy, grace and power of God does not just grow in us because were christians, we have to dutifully  ensure the environment is right, readily cultivated and inviting for the joy of the Lord to become strong, stable, and well rooted in us and in return, we're strengthened and firm on our feet regardless of the challenges life throw at us.   Acts 9:39-40 (NLT)    39 So Peter returned with them; and as soon as he arrived, they took him to the upstairs room. The room was filled with widows who were weeping and showing him the coats and other clothes Dorcas had made for them. 40 But Peter asked them all to leave the room; then he knelt and prayed. Turning to the body he said, “Get up, Tabitha.” And she opened her eyes! When she saw Peter, she sat up!  When Peter arrived, he immediately understood the environment was filled with distorted emotions. So he told everyone to leave the house as he took charge of the environment (like Jesus did with the daughter of Jairus) and then he was able to instill the atmosphere of joy which helped him draw strength from God and Tabitha was brought back to life.
