<p>Wednesday 30 June</p> <p><br></p> <p>The Force of Favour 10</p> <p><br></p> <p>Nothing else can help you go through trying times like JOY. Joy cannot be over emphasized as the secret to navigate through the challenges in life.</p> <p><br></p> <p>2 Cor. 4:17-18 NKJV,</p> <p><br></p> <p>For our light affliction. Which is for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal</p> <p><br></p> <p>If we go through all the things recorded about Paul that he had to go through, it will shock you that Paul defined all his ordeals in life as “LIGHT” This man was beaten, stoned and left for dead, people betrayed him, accused him falsely and as a matter of fact, he wrote the scripture quoted above from prison. But this did not break him. He was still strong. Many people haven’t gone through a tenth of what Paul went through, yet Paul calls his trouble LIGHT. Many have said that God has left them and some are even tired of life. Look at Paul and see how he handled his troubles. There must be something extraordinary that made Paul view his troubles from a different point of view. Paul didn’t only call his affliction LIGHT, but he said that his troubles were working out something far better, that outweighed all his afflictions.</p> <p><br></p> <p>Paul was careful not to look at his environment, he knew what exactly to focus on. His focus was on Jesus who according to</p> <p>Hebrews 12:2 NKJV</p> <p>looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.</p> <p><br></p> <p>Paul also taught about the fruits of the spirit, and one of what he mentioned was JOY. This teaching has taken a strong root in him, so much so that it was difficult to discourage him. People who live a life of joy never die,
