<p>DVD With Niyi Adekunle&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>&nbsp;Wednesday 1st September&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>The Force of Forgiveness.</p> <p><br></p> <p>A lot of people think that there's nothing powerful about forgiveness, but it is one of the most awesome and powerful forces in the world. Forgiveness is something that can hold you down and something that can release you into your destiny.</p> <p><br></p> <p>Forgiveness is very interesting; it's a compound word in the sense that it's made of two words. The first word is “Fore,” which means to be ahead or to be in front. &nbsp;The other word is “give,” which means to contribute, to share or to release. So, you bring the word together as “Forgive.” It simply means to give ahead or to anticipate an error done against you and to release the person before the offence comes. &nbsp;</p> <p>There's a possibility of somebody offending you so, you anticipate it. Instead of not forgiving this person and allowing the person to carry that guilt and pain, you should forgive that person. This is what forgiveness is all about! The powerful thing is that God designed forgiveness into the human system, into the human world, even before sin came.</p> <p><br></p> <p>If you read in the book of Revelation 13: 8 it says, “the lamb of God was slain before the world began.”&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>This means even before God designed the world, before He designed man, before He made man, before m an sinned, Jesus Christ had paid the price for our sins i.e. God had through foreknowledge anticipated the sin of man and had made provision for that. God was truly thinking ahead and released man . This takes power and this is what forgiveness is all about.</p> <p><br></p> <p>I pray in the name of Jesus in September, and for the rest of the year, whatever is keeping us from forgiving anyone, the Lord would give us the grace to forgive and release them.
