The Daily Mess Are You Alright

<p>May 6 2022</p> <p>Released from prison. That’s how I feel. I finally convinced my doctor that the heart meds I’ve been prescribed are attacking my body. Thirteen years of this and then the open door. I get why there’s meds! While free from the prison though there’s a new worry. What am I doing to my body by not taking the meds? I wear a bracelet on my left arm. It asks, “Are you alright?” Accountability is knowledge. How do you practice asking yourself questions? Are you upfront and honest with what’s received? The mind has been under attack for several years because I knew what taking the medication does to the rest of me. Then one day you wake up not wanting to play. You can’t!
