We have a lot of complex emotions around the subject. So many that we now have a blood drop emoji and <a href='https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2019/02/08/692481425/why-period-activists-think-the-drop-of-blood-emoji-is-a-huge-win'>menstrual equity advocates</a> are thrilled about its potential to aid in conversation. I mean people who menstruate are portals between the living and the dead. It is a superpower, but we are socially conditioned to keep it a secret. It is h<a href='https://www.abc.net.au/news/health/2017-09-30/menstrual-cycle-taboo-holds-women-back/8996526'>ard not to be shocked when we see</a> an athlete openly flowing as they run. Menstrual
