The Courage To Start Again 5

<p><strong>Friday 23rd April</strong></p> <p>Courage to Start Again 5.</p> <p>To the person that has jaundice, everything appears yellow!</p> <p>Problems have a way of shading our perspective. We all have challenges and that is not the issue, the issue is how we go through these challenging seasons. We will either allow problems to define use and keep us down or we allow God's Person, Presence and His Word permeate our minds and elevate our person.</p> <p>For 40 days Goliath threatened the army of Israel and no one could accept his challenge and fight him. David came to the camp of the Israelites just once, heard this challenge by Goliath and he rose up to it. Why? David had not been keeping company and dwelling on the problem like the rest for 40 days. While they all focused on Goliath, David had learnt to keep his focus on God. What he had seen of God's greatness and power couldn’t allow him to see Goliath. Everything about Goliath seemed to disappear in the light of God’s presence.<br> The lyrics of a song says:</p> <p>" Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look to His wonderful face, and the things of this earth will grow strangely dim at the light of His glory and grace."<br> <br> When we turn our focus on Jesus, allowing His presence and power to fill us, the so-called problems of this world will become insignificant before Him, that's what happened to Gideon. As he hung around God, all the problems, as real as they were, became&nbsp;as nothing.</p> <p>Judges 5: 15-16 (GNB)<br> <br> 15 Gideon replied, "But Lord, how can I rescue Israel? My clan is the weakest in the tribe of Manasseh, and I am the least important member of my family." 16 The Lord answered, "You can do it because I will help you. You will crush the Midianites as easily as if they were only one man."</p> <p>God said to Gideon “All those Midianites will become nothing to you, they will all be wiped out as if you are fighting only one man.” Why?
