The case for making it easier to get off the ballot

April 22, 2022 - The resignation of Lt. Gov. Brian Benjamin has not led to his ouster from the Democratic primary ballot, but Common Cause NY Executive Director Susan Lerner says state lawmakers should rectify that by adopting a controversially timed law that expands the pathways for candidates to get off the ballot.
