Many folks have heard of hospice, but what if you have a serious illness and want to receive treatment for it and the extra services that are available for making care more comfortable? This is known as concurrent, or palliative care - and the benefits for anyone with a serious medical condition will be discussed tonight with Dr. Daniel Fischberg, Chief of Palliative Medicine at UH and Queen's Medical Center.
