A part of self-mastery is having an unwavering sense of self no matter if you are applauded or criticized. We all falter from time to time on this journey, but at all times we need to arm ourselves against the detriment of outside influences that are seeking to throw us off or manipulate us for their continued gain.  We can only improve when we acknowledge that something is wrong. Better yet, we can better fortify to curb future disturbances.
