The $1000 Project Helped Me Build a $230,000 Share Portfolio - these are my next steps for 2023

<p>Just over 7 years ago, shortly after my marriage ended, I was drowning with a huge mortgage and no savings. Our budget was so tight, so my investing goals had to be parked as I tried to keep my head above water for my son, Rocco, and I. Then I got my idea for The $1000 Project...surely I could focus on saving, hustling, manifesting and budgeting small amounts of money, to build up $1000 at a time, outside of my income, which I could then go and invest. Well that is exactly what I did, and I repeated that process so many times, that I now have a diversified investment portfolio worth $230,000, even with current market pullbacks. This portfolio pays a passive income which whilst is being reinvested, will help ensure that I am financially independent.
