Tented accommodation is being constructed in Knockalisheen to accommodate refugees and asylum seekers. The news comes in a week when the Government has been scrambling for alternative accommodation for Ukrainian refugees and those seeking international protection following a spike in demand. Orla Ni Eili of the Clare Immigrant Support Centre says while temporary solutions are needed, it would be a concern if the measure was to become permanent.
