Monday 23rd November, 2020.  It’s a beautiful Monday morning to you. We thank God for today, we thank God bringing us far into the year. We trust God for great things in the name of Jesus. We are talking about of the power of Teams and we are talking about “Team Up.” This week till the end of the month, we will be talking about “Team Up”.  What do I mean by Team Up? It’s not all teams that takes you up. Some teams actually takes you down. Some teams make your life better, some teams make your life worse, but God’s desire is for you to make teams, join teams and be part of teams that will take you up.  The Bible in the book of Proverbs 13: 20 (NLT), it’s says  “20 Walk with the wise and become wise;     associate with fools and get in trouble.” Or put it another way; team up with wise people and your life goes up. Team up with the wrong people and your goes wrong. So, you can either “team up” or “team down.”  A team can either take you up or bring you down.  There is a number of stories we read in the Bible that reminds us of this. If you remember the story of Ruth and Naomi; Naomi was going back Bethlehem and she had her two daughter in laws with her. Orpah went back, but Ruth said “I am going to stay with you, whatever your lot is, becomes my lot, where you live, I live. Your God, will be my God. Where you die, I will die (nothing will separate me from you).”  Even though it looked as if Naomi had no future, Ruth teamed up with Naomi and Naomi's life changed forever. Incidentally, Ruth, who was a Moabite ended up being in the lineage of Jesus Christ.  Why?  Because she teamed up; not down! And we see the story of Jonathan; such a painful one. If you read in 1 Samuel 23: 17, it says; 17 “Don’t be afraid,” Jonathan reassured him. “My father will never find you!
