Talk City Greensboro: Office of Community Safety

September 2022 the City of Greensboro created the Office of Community Safety. This office focuses on collaboration and cooperation between City leadership, the Greensboro Police Department (GPD), and the community to enhance public safety. The office consists of the Greensboro Criminal Justice Advisory Commission, or GCJAC, the Behavioral Health Response Team or BHRT, Violence Prevention and the Law Enforcement Assistant Diversion or LEAD. https://www.greensboro-nc.gov/departments/executive/office-of-community-safety
