<p>It is an excerpt from the epic Ramayana.</p> <p>By the great Odia Poet Kabi Samrat Upendra Bhanja( Poet-Empreror Upendra Bhanja).</p> <p>It describes the fisherman who</p> <p>washed Sriram's feet while</p> <p>helping him cross the river Sarayu</p> <p>While he was proceeding for</p> <p>his Forest stay</p> <p>as promised to his father King Dasrath,</p> <p>At the demand of Queen Keikeyi.</p> <p>&nbsp;Untouchability at its supreme then and</p> <p>the fisherman suspected that Ram wont allow&nbsp;</p> <p>him to touch him.</p> <p>So he took help of a pretext</p> <p>saying that</p> <p>A stone turned into &nbsp;a lady (Ahalya Liberation)</p> <p>previously.</p> <p>So unless his feet &nbsp;were washed,</p> <p>the boat would turn into a woman.</p> <p>Ram being one-wife-man, would then pressurize the fisherman to own the lady.</p> <p>The only means of his livelihood, the boat now turned into a woman,</p> <p>there will be no means left for him to manage his family.</p> <p>As we all know... &nbsp;</p> <p>the Bhabagrahi Sriram (The great knower of feelings)</p> <p>allowed the fisherman to wash his feet.....</p> <p><br></p> <p>check me out here : <a href="https://linktr.ee/SangeetaNaik" target="_blank">https://linktr.ee/SangeetaNaik</a></p> --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/sangeeta-naik/message
