Surah Al-Anbiyaa Verse 87-88 Session 24 The Companion of The Fish What occurred to Dhul Nuun (Yunus as)  was destined and could not be averted. Yunus (as) left Nineveh Iraq, in anger as his people disobeyed Allah SWT, he boarded a cargo ship (S37 v 141). Yunus (as) is swallowed by a fish but not consumed. There was darkness within the fish, darkness of the sea and darkness of the night. At the bottom of the sea, Yunus (as) heard the rocks performing Dhikir and revelation revealed the Dhikir of the fish. The Famous supplication is uttered by Yunus (as), heard by the angels near the Throne (S21 v 87). The virtues of the supplication of Yunus (as).
