Thursday 1 July    Supernatural Interventions   Welcome to the month of July. This month, we will be talking about the “The Supernatural Interventions of God.”   Sometimes as believers, we forget that our Christian experience is nothing short of the supernatural, from the beginning to the end. When was the last time you heard of a virgin giving birth to a child? Or how often have you heard about someone who died and resurrected and never died again? They are not your normal everyday natural occurrences, they are supernatural.   It’s interesting to know that in spite of all the supernatural encounters in the Bible, the word “supernatural” is not mentioned once in the Bible, particularly in the King James Version. Just like you won’t find the word “rapture” or “trinity” in the Bible but the concepts are clear in the scriptures. Another instance of this is in the Book of Esther, there is no single mention of “God” in that book at least in the King James Version of the Bible, yet the Supernatural acts of God cannot be taken out of the book of Esther. Even though you won’t find the word “Supernatural” from Genesis to Revelation, yet the bible is chronicle of the supernatural acts of God as He intervenes in people’s lives on earth, from Abraham gave birth to Isaac or Jacob having an encounter with an angel that changed his name or Joseph who had the ability to have dreams and interpret them, to Moses who performed miracles with his shepherd’s rod.  So, we cannot talk about the Bible without talking about the supernatural.   The truth is this; we cannot talk about the God of the Bible and say we don’t believe in the supernatural. We cannot say we believe in the Bible but not in the supernatural.
