Super Eagles can beat Mozambique without Osimhen, Iheanacho — Peseiro

<p>Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro, claimed he has suitable replacements for the duo of Victor Osimhen and Kelechi Iheanacho for Monday’s friendly against the Mambas of Mozambique.</p>, <p>Osimhen and Iheanacho have been ruled out of the game slated for the Estadio Municipal de Albufeira.</p>, <p>According to a press release by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the players have left the team’s camp in Portugal.</p>, <p>Osimhen sustained a hamstring injury in the Super Eagles’ 2-2 draw against Saudi Arabia on Friday.</p>, <p>Iheanacho was released from camp for personal reasons.</p>, <p>Peseiro however stated that there is enough quality in the team to cope with the two players absence.</p>, <p>“We will miss Kelechi and Victor, but we have other good players who can make Nigeria proud. I look at the bench and see players who can step up and take their chances,” Peseiro told thenff.com.</p>, <p>Monday’s meeting will be the fifth clash between Nigeria and Mozambique at senior level.</p>
