Description

Today begins with some early AM fog along and east Highway 25 burning off shortly after sunrise then an upper-level ridge moves over the region with flow turning to the south and southwest and the warming trend continues with readings reaching into the mid-40’s and lows around 20-degrees. Snowpack areas north Highway 36 along KS/NE border will be 5 to 10-degrees colder. As high pressure moves off to the east and more westerly flow increases over the weekend, temps may climb to even higher readings in the upper 40’s and low 50’s to start next week. West, northwest, and southwest winds may gust to 30 mph at times. Monday and Tuesday a low-pressure and cool front slide through lowering temps into lower 40’s, maybe producing some snow flurries.
