<p>About the guest:</p> <p>On August 7, 2016 Melissa’s life, her whole families life, unexpectedly shattered when her amazing, 21-year old, son Alex died by suicide. Now, her life is permanently divided into “before” and “after”. Surviving the loss of a child is truly unthinkable, but through immense support and focused education she found hope and from there made a choice to turn her pain into purpose. Now, a Certified Master Grief Coach, and healing practitioner, this former Executive Chef traded in her knives for a microphone. With the podcast and coaching, her goal is to bring community and healing to as many suicide loss grievers as she can</p> <p>She can also regularly be found participating in events as a speaker, healer, volunteer, podcast guest, panelist and grief expert. It has become her heart’s mission to make a difference, to shine Alex’s bright light into the world.
