Stuart Boyd (AccordianStu)

<p>Stu Boyd grew up in East Belfast in a musical family and this led him to joining an accordion band - he would later join a flute band in East Belfast, the Pride of Down. These two experiences set Stu on a journey that would see him learn to play many instruments and that would ultimately lead to him making his own flutes.</p><p>Stu's story resonates very closely to mine and there are some moments that really relate to my journey as outlined in the Made to Parade book.</p><p>His love of the tradition and flute music led Stu to start a YouTube channel at its very infancy and he has some 700 tunes uploaded on there, he also created the Fluters Companion, a collection of Flute band tunes all written in ABC format.</p><p>He is also the composer of a fair number of tunes and some of them are played by bands here in Northern Ireland.</p><p>He also has created Boyd Flutes, more as a hobby rather than a business and he also makes flute pouches and services flutes, a real all rounder.</p><p>Make sure you check his YouTube channel out, just search for AccordianStu and you can subscribe, there is some great content available there.</p><p>Join us in about 3 weeks time or so for Season number 3, we are taking some time out to record new episodes, keep an eye out on our social media for details.</p><p>Thanks again to our patrons, we couldn't do what we do without you.
