That's one thing that I would recommend for companies that are trying to be more open about that. One thing that I've promoted even in our own company is diversity. There's a lot of women in leadership that are white, expanding that to include women of color and really showing people that you're doing these things and it's not just talk. I think that's really key."</p> <p>RACHEL'S TIP: "Just start talking to people. Ask them one on one, what should I do? If you do that they're much more likely to reach out a hand to you and help you along. If you're in a company and you want to move up or you want to move in a different direction, just let your manager know or let the manager of that department know. Say, "This is what I want to do. Here's where I am now. What do I need to do to get where I want to go and can you help me? That makes the difference."</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
