Kevin has a client that consistently sends him their competition’s marketing content. His client is struggling to come up with what their actual product and services need to portray. In reality, they’re struggling with their brand’s identity. Although in some cases it can be meaningful to be aware of your competition’s positioning, it should not be a driver for how you do business. Instead of getting stuck looking at what everybody else is doing, look at what your clients are doing. I have to agree with Kevin. Maybe I’m a bit extreme when it comes to competition, but to be honest, I just don’t care what they’re doing or who they are.
