<p><strong>Steve Katz was a founder and member of Blood Sweat & Tears and The Blues Project, two of the greatest bands. </strong><br /><br /><strong>Robert’s featured song in this episode is “With You” from Project Grand Slam’s album </strong><i><strong>PGS 7</strong></i><strong> released in 2019. Robert chose this song because it’s a love song, and this episode contains a Songfest with Steve and Robert featuring love songs that they have each written. </strong><br /><br />In this episode, Robert and Steve discuss:</p><ul><li>Steve’s early years in music</li><li>The Greenwich Village scene of the 1960s</li><li>His relationships with Bob Dylan, Dave Van Ronk and many others</li><li>Founding The Blues Project, and their first two albums</li><li>Founding Blood Sweat & Tears, their music, tours and personalities</li><li>Producing Lou Reed and others</li></ul><p> </p><p>In the second half of the interview Steve and Robert do a Songfest together.
