Stephen Jerome Ferguson Interview

<p>Stephen was born and raised in Washington D.C. He started to be interested in music at the age of 12.</p> <p>He started learning the piano, moved to guitar and finally settled in learning the bass guitar which</p> <p>became his main instrument. Stephen is a self taught musician and has studied several genres of music.</p> <p>At the age of 16 he co founded the gospel group True Voices of Christ. The group played programs all</p> <p>over the east coast for 3 years. Stephen joined the U.S. Army where he co founded the R&amp;amp;B/Jazz group</p> <p>FFB with guitarist Paul Ferguson and drummer Michael Burrell. The group played together for 3 years</p> <p>and played for US military audiences as well as local audiences all over Europe.</p> <p>Stephen retied from the military in 1993 and began studying music production. He started SJF Music LLC</p> <p>as his production company in 2006 and has since released 10 solo albums and has produced music for</p> <p>several independent artists. He has worked with some well known artists including Howard Hewitt,</p> <p>Roberta Flack, Chuck Brown and George Benson.</p> <p>Stephen opened his record label, Ambyent Records in 2017.
