Description

The CEO of St. Francis Credit Union is calling for an "interactive approach" to be taken to the issue of mobile phones in school. A new survey carried out by the Irish League of Credit Unions has found that 84% of parents would support a blanket ban on the use of mobile phones in schools. The findings reveal that 62% of children own a mobile phone while parents said their child was an average of ten years and seven months when they got their first phone. General Manager of St. Francis Credit Union in Ennis, Louis Fay, says the education potential of phones must be acknowledged.
