Spring could finally start,a hope infused into my aching veins.<br/><br/>Then we were never thralls to loneliness,our fingers so entwined against the world;And, for a season, you awakened bliss,the universe all ours, and we could twirlin proper motion. I would follow youfrom winter's depths unto the twinkling blue.<br/><br/>—<br/><br/>Did you ever know a person who came into your life at just the right time? You loved them (in whatever way—romantically, platonicly) and they became a whole part of your heart; one of the reasons that you felt alive, that you stayed alive, because you knew that you’d have them?<br/><br/>And then, eventually, they go away. For one reason or another, they go away. Sometimes, it’s happenstance. Sometimes, it’s your fault. But all you’re left with are the memories of the feelings that they awoke in you, and an ache for that feeling to come back, along with the realization that it probably never will. <br/><br/>They were, to borrow the parlance from Grey’s Anatomy, your capital-P Person. And then, all of a sudden, they aren’t anymore.<br/><br/>I still think about my person a lot. It’s been, God, 8 years or so since we’ve spoken? And that’s a friendship that’s never likely to come back around again. But I think of her often, and I wish her well.
