Speed Limit Reduction Top Priority For New North Clare Road Safety Subgroup

Speed Limit reduction and restrictions will be the top priorities of the new North Clare road safety subgroup. The Transport and Road Safety working group, set up by the North Clare Communities Group, held their inaugural meeting this week. Tragic incidents on Clare roads this year have put pressure on public representatives to improve road infrastructure and impose stricter road safety regulations. Co-Chair of the Road Safety Subgroup of the NCCG, Mary Hawkes-Greene, says local 'inappropriate' speed limits need to be urgently changed.
